Tom Defore

Even now, months later, I still think about Tom a lot. Whenever I go to Boulder, or when I learn some odd bit of information, I still get the urge to give him a call. He was one of the few people with whom I could broach any weird subject and still get an interested response (instead of the usual blank stare).

“…light at heart and bringing joy and love…”

reminiscence by Lauri Benblatt, from the memorial service.

How do you begin to write something so difficult?  There are no words to express the shock, the sadness, the emptiness, the loss….When I think about Tom, and my life and relationship with him, there are so many things that come up for me that it is too much to put into written form.  So this is the best that I could do.
